Mack & Ricky kicked off the 2025 wedding season with their spring mountain wedding. They wanted classic, elegant, soft, simple, & minimalist whites & greens. To bring in a more relaxed mountain vibe to the florals, they also wanted texture, willows, & branches in the design. I harvested pussy willow in early April as it just started to bloom in order to use it for their wedding in June.

The ceremony included 250+ individual roses nailed into the ground and my personal favorite garden arch from Lucky Penny. The tent entrance had whicker baskets full of greenery and flowers. We had vines and overflowing greenery with flower arrangements cascading down the tent entrance as well. I always recommend greenery & floral arrangements on a tent entrance because it is featured in so many pictures from mingling to the exit at the end of the evening.

A soft & simple green & white spring wedding in the mountains.

Mack wanted a small bouquet with a mix of focal flowers & textural elements.

The ground was rocky & hard in the ceremony space so it took two people approximately four hours to nail every individual rose in their water tube into the ground.

Reception

The tent entrance was my favorite part of this wedding. It made an excellent background for pictures both during the cocktail hour and the couple’s exit at the end of the wedding. We also did a large arrangement for the lounge area and bar.

The rectangular guest tables were decorated with minimalist ikebana arrangements featuring snapdragons, ranunculus, astilbe, and locally-harvested pussy willow. The round tables received either a medium compote or laid greenery with candles.

The wind was absolutely atrocious during the set up. As we were finishing up and about to leave, the arch blew over in a giant gust of wind. Our team of seven working the wedding set up spent every minute trying to replace broken flowers and protecting all that we could from wind damage. At the end of the day, everything still looked amazing, and it became one of Sundrop’s favorite weddings overall.
